Indian spices have sufficient medicinal values and there are so many home remedies exists in our cooking. Many home remedies are passed traditionally by the elder peoples and most of the Indian families have their own home remedies for common ailments. There are so many easy remedies for cough, cold which can be prepared at home in a jiffy. One among those home remedies tried and adviced at our home since ages is this Turmeric milk. This turmeric milk is simply prepared with palm sugar, the humble 'Turmeric powder' obviously, cinnamon stick, peppercorns and ginger. Both milk and turmeric are anti-oxidants. Taking turmeric milk daily can help in blood purification and liver detox.
Once the winter season starts here, i'll start drinking turmeric milk atleast twice a week as i get cold and cough very easily. You can make very well Vegan turmeric milk with soya, coconut, almond milk etc. However i prefer mine with cow milk, some add honey or sugar to this milk but i always stick with palm sugar, since its has some medicinal value. You can even feed your kids with less spices, i give this milk quite often to my teens with less peppercorns and ginger but with honey. Prepare yourself fit to go through the nasty winter season by drinking this incredible drink. Am running my first week of blogging marathon with Home remedies for common ailments as this week's theme, hence am posting this turmeric milk.Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#45.
