You can prepare some dangerously addictive flaky snacks with Puff pastry sheets with less efforts. And one of my today's recipe is also one among those easy breezy snacks which i simply prepared with store bought puff pastry sheet. Pinwheels makes excellent evening snacks as well as a prefect party appetizer especially if you have kids around. This flaky pinwheels are ultimate finger foods and you doesnt need any sauce or dips to serve along with. Yes i used a spicy minced soya masala for preparing this pinwheels. To make this pinwheels more delicious, i couldnt resist to add some grated cheese. And this pinwheels are my kids recent favourite.
Am running this week's blogging marathon with Kid's Delight-Anniversary party' as theme. This flaky finger foods makes an excellent starter to munch with a mildy sweet sauce. Trust me these pinwheels are definitely a crowd pleaser and dangerously addictive as well. Obviously if you are planning for a birthday party, you can bake this cuties in huge batch with less efforts, as you just need to prepare the filling and get some Store bought puff pastry sheets.Kids will go crazy if they see this cheese loaded healthy pinwheels.
2 Puff pastry sheet
Grated cheese as per need
Minced Soya Masala:
1cup Minced soya granules (cooked)
2nos Onions (large & chopped finely)
1/2cup Chopped mixed veggies
1tsp Ginger garlic paste
2nos Green chillies (chopped)
1/2tsp Red chilly powder
1/2tsp Garam masala powder
1tsp Coriander powder
Few chopped coriander leaves
1/2tsp Fennel seeds (crushed)
Salt
Oil
Heat enough oil in a pan, fry the crushed fennel seeds, add immediately the chopped onions,chopped green chillies and ginger garlic paste,saute until the raw smell goes away..
Add the chopped mixed veggies for few minutes.
Add the cooked soya granules,salt,red chilly powder,garam masala powder and coriander powder,cook everything in simmer until the masala turns thick..
Finally add the chopped coriander leaves and put off the stove.
Spread the soya kheema masala generously over the puff pastry sheet.
Top it with the cheese,roll the pastry sheet tightly as a log.
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Slice the rolled log as medium size pieces and arrange over a baking sheet.
Bake the pinwheels for 12-15minutes until the crust turns golden brown.
Remove the pinwheels and enjoy warm.
