If you love savory tarts for your lunch or for your dinner with less efforts, then you should check this super flaky tart. Yes its completely a super flaky tart as i used store bought puff pastry sheet as base for baking this easy and absolutely aromatic tart. To bake this easy breezy tart, just get ready with some already prepared caramelized onions, store bought puff pastry sheet and grated cheese. Top your puff pastry sheet with caramelized onions followed by cheese and thats all. Such an easy tart na, however if you dont get puff pastry sheet, you can simply prepare your usual tart crust at home. Simple to prepare, this tart makes an excellent meal to serve along with some salads. Extremely delicious, none will stop having this tart just with a slice.
Apart from caramelizing onions, this tart gets ready very much easily as i opted from store bought puff pastry sheet. Usually sugar is added to bring the caramelized colour to the sliced onions, but the yellow onions i get here have enough sweetness to caramelize themselves so i skipped adding sugar. However dont forget to add some dried herbs to the onions hence i went with dried parsley leaves which works awesome to bring a subtle flavor to those caramelized onions. Give a try to this ultimate tart and enjoy them either warm or at room temperature.
3cups Sliced onions
1tsp Dried parsley leaves
1cup Grated cheese
1no Puff pastry sheet
Oil
Salt
Pepper powder
Heat enough oil in a pan, add the sliced onions and sauté until the onions turns transculent.
Add the salt, pepper powder, dried parsley leaves, sauté again until the onions turns brown in colour.
Now put off the stove and let it cool completely. Preheat the oven to 350F.
Place the puff pastry sheet on a baking pan, now spread evenly the caramelized onions on the pastry sheet.
Now top it generously with grated cheese. Bake this tart for 25-30minutes until the crust turns golden brown.
Let it cool a bit, slice the tart and enjoy.
