My today's post is a very simple and super flavourful pulao, which you can dish out with less efforts, as this one pot meal doesnt calls for any chopping or grinding. Flavoured simply with garam masala powder, this pulao calls for easy ingredients like corn kernels and diced green bellpepper chunks. Once cooked all together, this pulao makes an excellent lunch or lunchbox friendly meal to pack. Served along with a simple side dish, this pulao will definitely fill some hungry tummies easily.
Am running this week's blogging marathon with One pot meal for summer as theme and this delicious pulao calls for a super easy cooking process.Obviously a prefect entry to send for this theme, as this dish is very simple to dish out. Just saute the vegetables, add the rice, spice it up with garam masala and salt, cook until the rice gets cooked. Trust me, this rice dish takes hardly less than 15minutes.
2cups Basmati rice (washed & soaked)
1cup Corn kernels
2 Green bellpepper (diced)
Salt
1tbsp Garam masala powder
1tsp Cumin seeds
Oil
Heat enough oil, let crack the cumin seeds, add the cornkernels and saute for a while.
Add the garam masala powder, salt and cook for a while. Finally add the diced bellpepper pieces, saute for few minutes.
Add 4cups of water and cook. Once the water gets boiled, add the washed and soaked basmatic rice and cook in medium high flame for5 minutes.
Put the flame in simmer, cook until the rice gets well cooked.
Serve hot with fried chickens, papads or else with boiled eggs.
