Bite sized appetiziers are mostly finger foods, since i picked kid's delight - Bite sized appetizers theme for this week's blogging marathon, i decided to bake some mini sized herbed and garlic butter flavored monkey bread. Though monkey bread are baked usually in bundt cake pan, you can bake some cute mini monkey breads with your muffin pans as well. Trust me, these mini monkey bread rolls are definitely a crowd pleaser with fabulous aroma. As much as like usual garlic monkey bread, these tiny bread rolls will definitely please your tastebuds if you love garlic butter in your bakes.

Black-eyed Peas Fritters/Karamani Pakoda
Black eyed peas is becoming one of my favourite ingredient after Urad dal for making fritters or vadas. After trying my hands with black eyed peas vadas, i couldnt stop myself frying out some pakodas with them.They came out extremely super crispy and prefect to munch with some tea for snacks. However these cute crispy balls was a big hit among my kids, obviously they enjoyed munching them with their favourite sauce while i had this pakodas as side dish for some hot piping rasam rice. Yes you can even serve these cuties as side dish for your rice dish. As much as like usual gram flour based pakodas, these fritters came out extremely crispy, but all you need is to soak and peel the skin of black-eyed peas.

Gluten free Mini Tofu Fingers/Fried Tofu Fingers
Am trying to inculde tofu quite often in our meal, kids love it as much as like paneer. Actually tofu is replacing very much paneer in my cooking. One of my recent trial with tofu is this simple and very easy fried fingers. Yes you can make some fantastic starter with extra firm tofu. Simply flavoured with any sort of spices, tofu can be cooked as many delicious dishes. However we are great fan of this fried tofu fingers. Since tofu doesnt have any flavor, if you are making this ultimate Vegan and gluten free tofu fingers dont ever hesitate a second to flavor them with your favourite spices. Actually i went with simple garam masala flavoured tofu fingers as we love masala flavor in tofu.

Quinoa and French Lentils Salad
I just love French lentils cooked with loads of garlic and thyme, when served along with baguette slices, i can finish my lunch or dinner happily. Actually cooking lentils with garlic and thyme is a classic French dish, a super aromatic protein rich dish as crushed garlic cloves are sauteed with thyme leaves.French lentils works awesome for making some delicious salads as well. And my today's dish is a prefect dish to cook with this nutritious lentils. French lentils are also known as Le Puy Lentils which is easily available in all provisional stores here. Needless to say how nutritious this lentils are, obviously lentils are rich in protein and extremely rich in dietary fiber as well.

After tangy tamarind gravy aka Kuzhambu and dal based sambhar, kootu is an another popular dal based dish cooked often in South Indian cuisine. Tomato Pesarapappu/Tomato Moongdal Curry
Moongdal is known as Pesara pappu in Telugu, and my today's recipe is a Andhra style tomato curry cooked with yellow moongdal. This tomato pesarapappu is a comforting dal which can be served as side dish along with rice or else simply with Indian style of flatbreads. This dal is a super easy dish to prepare as you just need a pressure cooker and a kadai. How simple na, yes cook the dal with turmeric powder, and temper it along with sauteed onions and tomatoes. Yellow moong dal is definitely a nutritious dal with dietary fiber in it. Extremely protein rich, moongdal is often cooked in my cooking. As this yellow moongdal are easy to cook, you can dish out many delicious dishes out of it quickly with less efforts.

Apple & Peach Crisp with Oat Topping
Though its fall season here, we do get some summer fruits eventhough they are very rare in farmer's market. Recently hubby brought to home, a small paquet of peaches from the farmer's market but unfortunately they were nt sweet, obviously none want to have those peaches. Since i dont like to trash anything easily, i turned those sweetless peaches as a fabulous dessert along with apples. Apples and peaches works awesome as crisp and these crisp turned out extremely delicious. Served either as warm or chilled, this ultimate apple and peach crisp makes an excellent dessert to relish after a heavy meal.

Apple & Nutella Galette
After three months break, am kick starting the usual three days of blogging marathon with a fantastic theme, my theme for this week's blogging marathon is Apple Desserts. Apple is the fruit we get almost every season of the year. From red apples to golden apples, apples are my favourite fruits, but unfortunately i cant eat them as am allergic to this ultimate fruit. Obviously i bake many delightful baked goodies or desserts with this incredible fruit to please my tastebuds. Since i picked Apple desserts as theme for this week's blogging marathon, i baked three fantastic baked dishes with apples. To kick start this first day, am posting a rustic style galette with nutella and sliced apples, topped with almond flakes.
