Onion Pakora

When the weather is too chilled or rainy nothing can beat a cup of coffee or tea with a plate of hot and spicy pakoras. Needless to say the weather in Paris is really very worst and rainy since few days. However we keep ourself comforting by pampering with some deep fried crispies. Weekend went really very quick and the weather kept us indoor as it was raining whole weekend here. Obviously i couldnt stop myself making some hot pakoras with onions. Everyone at home love pakoras very much especially with onions. If i make onion pakoras even i wont keep myself away from them, i wont stop myself munching them, i cant control myself my tastebuds if i have a plate onion pakoras in front of me.

Onion pakora

Am running my second week of blogging marathon with pick one do three as theme for this week. Srivalli have suggested three links from wiki and we have to pick one from the link and cook three dishes out of it. Initially i want to stick with potatoes but then my mind went to fried dough foods. Without any hesitation i picked three different deep fried dishes from the link given by Valli. One among my three dishes i have fried specially for this week's theme is this crispy and dangerously addictive onion pakoras.Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#50.

Crispy Onion pakora

3nos Onions (sliced thinly)
1/2tsp Ajwain/Carom seeds
2nos Green chillies
1cup Gram flour
1/2tsp Fennel seeds
Salt
Oil for deep frying

Take the sliced onions, gram flour, chopped green chillies, fennel seeds, carom seeds with enough salt.

Mix everything well, springle some water and turn everything as a thick paste.

Heat oil for deep frying.

Make small balls from the thick paste, drop gently to the hot oil, fry until they turns crispy and golden brown.

Drain the excess of oil with a paper towel.

Enjoy hot with a cup of coffee..
