Its summer here and mangoes shows their head in our farmer's markets. However i grabbed two boxes of succulent sweet mangoes from Indian stores. Back home, after relishing with our meal, i kept few mangoes aside to dish out some delectable desserts with. And one among those desserts is this fantastic, eggless and agar agar/gelatin free mango mousse. Actually i prepared this dessert for our Sunday lunch as i had my cousin family for lunch. Since it was a sudden visit, i couldnt bake or make a chocolatey dessert for him. Hence i opted to dish out this simple, yet a delicious dessert to relish after our heavy Sunday meal. Just with three ingredients, you can finish this mousse in a jiffy. Yep just three ingredients, whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk and mango puree is enough to prepare this mousse.
Though agar agar or gelatin is used often for making the mousse, i just skipped them as i prepared this mousse as single serving dessert. If you want to unmould or prepare as a mousse cake, agar agar or gelatin is a must. Since its a single serve dessert, i dont want to add agar agar, and trust me, this dessert is definitely very light and satisfying desserts to relish without any fuss. No cooking is needed, you just need some helping hands to whip the cream apart from it, this mousse is definitely an easiest dessert to prepare and enjoy.Am running this week's blogging marathon with Single serve desserts, hence this alluring mango mousse is going for the theme.
2cups Fresh Mango puree
1/2cup Sweetened condensed milk
1cup Heavy cream
Whisk the mango puree and condensed milk in a bowl, meanwhile beat the whipping cream until a nice peak forms.
Slowly add the whipped cream to the mango-condensed milk mixture until everything gets well mixed.
Spoon the mango puree to cups or ramequins and refrigerate for an hour until the mousse gets set.
Serve chilled.
