Chilly Garlic Sauce/Chilli Garlic Chutney

Am sharing a simple, easy and definitely a flavourful sauce to serve along with some crispy fritters or chinese style rolls. If you are a spicy lover then trust me this absolutely mildly sweet, spicy and aromatic chutney aka sauce will definitely tickle your tastebuds. I have some hot sauce lovers at home, though myself and my younger one like to have some deep fried fritters with tomato ketchup, others at home just love chilly sauces to have with. I have been looking for a chance to make some garlic loaded chilly sauce just to please my spicy sauce lovers since a while. Finally when i picked Dips for snacks as theme for this week's blogging marathon, obviously i couldnt stop myself to gather all the ingredients to dish out some homemade chilly sauce.

This sauce is absolutely a flavour rich one coz of the garlic cloves went in it. If you get fresh red chillies, dont hesitate a second to dish out this sauce. But in my case, i tried with kashmiri chillies which are mild in spiciness and bright in colour. And this sauce calls for sugar, hence this chilly garlic chutney makes a best accompaniment to serve along with some crispy egg rolls or deep fried fritters to enjoy with.

Chilli Garlic Chutney, Chilly Garlic sauce

20 Kashmiri chillies
10 Garlic cloves
4tsp Sugar
8tbsp White vinegar
Salt
2tbsp Oil

Bring water in a sauce pan, add the kashmiri chillies, cook for a while.

Cover the sauce pan and let the red chillies gets cool completely.

Strain the water, discard the chilly seeds if you desire.

Chop the garlic cloves and take the chopped garlic cloves, salt, sugar, white vinegar and red chilllies in a blender.

Blend the ingredients as smooth paste, heat a sauce pan with oil, add the blended mixture, cook in simmer for few minutes until the sauce turns thick.

Remove from the flame, let it cool completely in room temperature.

Enjoy this chilly garlic sauce with your favourite snacks.

Such a tasty condiment Priya. I make it the same way[almost] except add a little ginger and leave out the sugar :)

That is a spicy sauce for sure. The combination of red chilli and garlic is so flavourful and usually make a chutney with the combo for idlis. Addition of sugar will help cutting down the heat.
