Have you ever combined chocolate and mango together in desserts, if not just give a try to this irresistible eggless dessert with mango and chocolate. This dessert goes for fabulous eggless chocolate mousse and for an eggless mango custard. Both served together makes an excellent dessert to enjoy after a feast. Eggless chocolate mousse is simply prepared with heavy cream, semi sweet chocolate chips while the custard is prepared with mango puree and custard powder. A super easy dessert to give a try if you want to serve your guests with a different dessert. Actually i was searching for a name to fit prefectly to this dessert but i couldnt able to get out a prefect name hence i named it simply as a dessert.
Since this dessert is between both mousse and custard, you can simply relish this two layered dessert, the mango custard will definitely tickle your tastebuds and the eggless chocolate mousse gives an incredible texture while having this delicious eggless dessert. Eggless Chocolate Mousse:
2cups Heavy cream
1cup Semi sweet chocolate chips
4tbsp Butter
In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy cream until they turns smooth and stiff, keep it in fridge.
Meanwhile take the chocolate chips and butter in a bowl.
Put this bowl on the top of the simmering water sauce pan, make sure the water should not touch the bottom of the chocolate bowl.
Melt the chocolate completely, stir continously and remove it,let it cool for few seconds.
Now gently drop the whipped cream and slowly fold it.
Dont deflate the whipped cream, take care of it.
Transfer the mousse to a tall glass and keep in fridge for atleast an hour.
Mango Custard:
1/4cup Sugar
1tbsp Custard powder
1/2cup Milk
1cup Mango puree (fresh or the tinned ones)
Heat the milk, sugar in a heavy bottomed vessel.
Once the sugar gets dissolved, add the custard powder,mango puree, whisk in simmer until the mixture turns semi thick, keep this mango custard aside.
Let it cool completely. (dont forget to stir continously to avoid the skin form on the top of the custard.
Now top the chocolate mousse with the custard and arrange in fridge for two hours.
Serve as dessert.
