Cauliflower Whole Wheat Fritters/Gobi Atta Pakora

Winter evenings are so chilled here, obviously after a long day work, everyone at home love to have some crispy fritters. Fritters makes everyone happy, and needless to say kids love to munching hot pakoras for their snacks. Hence i prepared this cauliflower pakodas aka bajjis with a combination of wheat flour and gram flour. Adding wheat flour may sounds completely different from the usual way of dishing out these fritters. But trust me wheat flour works awesome for making puffy and dangerously delicious fritters as well.

Cauliflower Bajji, Wheat Flour Cauliflower Fritters

My kids just love cauliflower in anything. When i decided to go with bajjis for our evening snacks few days back,i couldnt think more than dishing out pakoras with cauliflower. My freezer will always have some frozen vegetables which is completely handy whenever we ran out of vegetables. I do prepare many curries or pulaos with frozen vegetables. Make your own bag of frozen vegetables, i do prepare mine quite often. Frozen vegetables are just prefect to make any sort of dishes. Am running this week's blogging marathon with Kid's Delight - Winter warmers as theme. Winter snacks are incomplete without deep fried fritters, hence am posting this pakoras for the theme.
Sending this to Srivalli's Kid's Delight event, guest hosted by PJ themed on Winter Warmers.

Heat the oil for deep frying, dip the already cooked cauliflower to the prepared batter.

Drop them to the hot oil and deep fry them until they turns golden brown..

Fry them in batches and drain the excess of oil with a paper towel.

Serve with spicy coconut chutney or with ketchup.

That is an interesting batter for pakoras. Using wheat flour instead of maida is something I do nowadays. The pakoras are perfect for a chilly evening.

I've got some idly batter in the fridge and you are making me want to fry these up tonight - only it is too cold here to go to the supermarket just for cauliflower but I would love to try these some time!
