Tamarind Sevai/Sevai Puliyodharai

Sevai is nothing its just rice vermicelli which is quite popular in Tamilnadu. Though this vermicelli can be prepared easily with rice flour at home, store bought sevai are easily available to dish out some fabulous easy breezy dishes with it. Store bought sevai are seriously very handy as you can prepare dishes either for your breakfast or your dinner. I have already cooked couple of dishes with different vegetables and ingredients. However i love both lemon sevai and tamarind sevai very much. They are just prefect to pack in anyone's lunch box especially in a kid's lunch box. Yes if you have homemade tamarind paste in in fridge or instant tamarind rice powder,  trust me this dish gets quickly than you can imagine..

Zucchini, Carrot & Tofu Paratha

Have you ever prepared paratha with tofu, if not you should give a try them. Tofu gives a fabulous softness to the paratha and its stays prefectly soft even to pack in a kid's lunch box. I have been cooking with tofu since a long. Earlier i was bit skeptical to use this soya cheese as its was quite an unknown ingredient for me. However i have learned myself to cook with this incredible tofu and now its quite our favourite cheese which i never fail to cook with. I can easily get this soya cheese as am living in China town. Obviously tofu have its own place in my weekly cooking. Tofu exists in three varieties, silken tofu is used often in vegan desserts, firm tofu and extra firm tofu for making dishes out of it.

Nutella Hot Chocolate

Winter, yes this season calls for some fabulous warm foods to keep ourselves warm to face this drastic weather. Winter for us goes for some cheesy foods, comforting bowl of soups to keep yourself good. I will try to keep my lunch or dinner as simple as possible during this weather. Winter warmers are must especially for kids, obviously i will do some exclusive foods during this weather. Usually i avoid deep frying  however winter pulls us to make crispy fritters just to please our tastebuds. Can refuse na, as winnter's chilled weather asks for hot and crispy foods. You may wonder why am talking about the Winter, i have a reason for this.

Varagu Arisi Upma Kozhukattai/Kodomillet & Black-eyed Peas Steamed Dumplings

Upma Kozhukattai is a healthy, filling and satisfying South Indian breakfast, which is also enjoyed as a mid-day snacks, tiffin items to serve with some spicy coconut chutney. This steamed dumplings is prepared usually with rice rava or else with rice flour. And this steamed dish is also called as Kara pidikozhukattais as well. I love to replicate some traditional South Indian dishes with some healthy stuffs in it. Hence i opted for a millet dumplings aka gluten free upma kozhukattai. This is quite a healthy version of steamed dumplings which is seriously loaded with protein rich black-eyed peas beans. Obviously you cant miss this incredible protein rich to try if you are looking for a super healthy dinner or breakfast for week days.

Jowar Rava & Oats Idli/Instant Sorghum Semolina & Oats Idli

Most known, healthy and quite filling steamed breakfast dish in South India is Idli. Idli is prepared prominently with rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds. Instant versions of this Idlies do exists, and this instant versions of idlis are seriously very easy to make. If you dont have idli batter, you can still stick with varieties of Instant versions of Idlies. Coming to this steamed dish, semolina aka rava is usually used in dishing out Instant versions of Idlies. However any sort of semolina can be used and here comes an another version of instant idli which i dished out with Sorghum semolina aka Jowar rava.You may wonder how this idly will be in taste and texture, i didnt find my difference between the usual instant  rava idlies we do quite often.

Galette de Sarrasin/French Eggfree Buckwheat Crepes

Do you know buckwheat crepes are quite popular in Brittany region of France?. You might have heard lot about the popular Crepes served either with sugar, jam,nutella or sometimes flambée but savoury crepes do exists in French cuisine. Traditionally called as Galette de Sarassin, this thin crepes or pancakes are seriously very hearty and gluten free. Just milk, oil, salt, all purpose flour and buckwheat flour is quite enough to dish out this delicious crepes. Eggs are used in this crepes, but i skipped it. Buckwheat crepes are easily made at home as much as like usual crepes. These crepes are usually served as savory one either with ham, cheese or egg with cheese in it. If you are visiting Brittany region, you will definitely cross many roadside vendors and popular restuarants serves these savory crepes even late in nite.

Very quick to prepare, my today's post is definitely a must to try if you want to have quick and easy dish for your breakfast. Instant dosas are seriously a life saver, just prepare the dosa batter by combining the ingredients, then let them sit for few minutes before making dosas out of them. Vegan Onion & Green Capsicum Chutney/Onion Bellpepper Chutney

If you are a South Indian, you might know very well that our favourite South Indian breakfast aka dosas or idlies calls for varieties of side dishes. Obviously we cant stick always with some usual side dish to serve those breakfast dishes. My family loves different side dishes or chutneys if i serve our own South Indian breakfast dishes. Seriously i always look for a new variety of  chutney to give a try. And i never forget to mix and match the ingredients according to our tastebuds. One of my recent trial to serve along with dosas is my today's onion and green bellpepper chutney. Sauteed green bellpepper and onions spiced with red chillies and few more spices makes this incredible chutney.

Onion Paratha/Pyaz ka Paratha/Onion Roti

Am running this week's blogging marathon with  One vegetable different ways as theme, since i dont want to run behind any other vegetables, i went on dishing out three different dishes with my favourit Onions. Yes i picked Onion as my vegetable of this week. Onions is a must in my cooking, if i dont have enough onions at home i feel like missing something in my cooking. Yes i cant survive without onions and tomatoes. Just with these two vegetables, i can cook many different dishes with an ease. Hence i couldnt think more than picking onions as my prominent vegetable for this week's theme. Onions are extremely flavourful, whether raw or cooked, onions are super healthy.Raw onions have higher levels of organic sulfur compounds while the boiled ones are good source of fiber and copper. It was found that people with highest consumption of onions have lowest cancer rates, they also helps to lower blood sugar level. Onions have numerous nutritional and health benefits.

If you ask me to pack something to munch while travelling especially for kids, i will make sure to bake some muffins. Muffins are very easy to pack and ready to enjoy at anytime of the day. A prefect travel food for kids. From breakfast to dinner, muffins can replace very much a meal if they are baked with healthy ingredients in it. My today's recipe is an excellent baked goodies to pack if you are planning for a travel with your family. Very simple to make, this chocolate milk suits prefect for anyone's breakfast or else for a mid morning brunch. With just 4 ingredients, one can prepare this incredible drink with easy cooking process. Apart from the chia seed's soaking time, this drink is seriously very quick to make. Once chilled, trust me this drink will definitely fill anyone's hungry tummy quickly than you imagine. And this milk is my kid's favourite. Though the climate is too chilled, my kids enjoy this drink for their brunch. Its winter vacation here,hence i prepare this drink before i leave to work so that my kids can enjoy this milk once they wake up.

Crunchy No Bake Chocolate Cereal Squares

My kids love to have their breakfast with chocolate cereals or else with wholegrain cereal flakes along with chilled milk. Obviously my pantry will have different sorts of cereals, however whenever i do my weekly grocery, i dont forget to grab some packets of cereals as well. When i picked Kid's delight -Chocolate as theme for this week's blogging marathon, i was very much sure to prepare some no bake cereal squares with peanut butter and chocolate for this week's theme. Grilled Cheesy Pizza Sandwich

If you are looking for an easy breezy sandwich to pack in your kid's lunch box or else for an evening snacks, you should check my today's cheesy pizza sandwich. Just with three ingredients, that too with easily available, pantry friendly ingredients you can dish out this cheesy sandwich. To dish out this droolworthy sandwiches, you just need some bread slices, store bought pizza sauce or homemade pizza sauce and grated cheese. How easy na, put evening together and grill the sandwich. If you dont have grilling iron or oven, just toast them in a tawa.

Tawa Whole Wheat Aloo Kulchas/Tawa Potato Kulchas

Kulcha is a variation of Naan, its essentially a Punjabi dish. Though i have already posted few variaties of kulchas in both my spaces, i have still few more to post. Aloo kulcha is my kid's favourite, its quite a filling dish which doesnt need any side dish to relish with. Kulchas can be cooked in tandoor as well as through stove top in tawa. Am running this week's blogging marathon with Kid's delight- Cooking with tawa as theme, after posting two delicious tawa friendly dishes i couldnt stop myself to post my kid's favourite Potato kulchas.

Thakkali Kara Chutney/Spicy Red Chutney

South Indians loves varieties of chutneys or side dishes to enjoy with their breakfast dishes. Even my husband needs more than two chutneys to enjoy his hot steaming idlies or crispy dosas. Obviously i have an obligation to prepare different chutneys to please my husband's tastebuds. Though i have prepared numerous time, am yet to post this easy breezy kara chutney prepared with pulpy tomatoes and loads of shallots.Kara chutney is a popular chutney of Chettinad cuisine, and this chutney calls for garlic cloves,red chillies and tamarind.

Toasted Muesli

Muesli, a prefect breakfast loaded with oats, nuts and fruits. I have been preparing myself my own muesli from the past few years as they are very easy to prepare at home with any sort of nuts, seeds or dried fruits of your choice. My today's post is one of our recent favourite as this toasted muesli goes for some crispy cornflakes, chocolate chips along with rolled nuts and loads of nuts,seeds.Since this toasted muesli have chocolate chips in it, kids will definitely enjoy this ultimate healthy muesli for their breakfast without any fuss.

Maple & Chia Seeds Whole Wheat Pancakes

Pancakes makes an excellent super filling breakfast especially when it comes to Weekend brunch or for lazy breakfast. However pancakes are seriously easy to whip up as they goes for an easy preparation as well as a simple cooking process. My younger one love pancakes for his breakfast especially during weekends. When i picked Kid's delight-Quick Breakfast, i thought of whipping some pancake batter to please my pancakes loving son's tastebuds. And this time, i prepared the batter simply with whole wheat flour, chia seeds, buttermilk simply sweetened with maple syrup.

I have rarely seen kids saying No to Nutella, this chocolate hazelnut spread have its own place in my pantry since a long. However this spread is not that much healthy, but its seriously very hard to keep them away from kids. Obviously i get this spread very much rarely from stores. Eggless Cheese Pumpkin Bread

I love to bake breads very much at home. Yeast god behaves prefectly awesome with me, obviously i have been baking breads since few years. Yeast can be either fresh, dehydrated, levain, but still breads can be baked at home. Every weekend, i dont forget to bake breads at home as my kids enjoy homemade bread with their favourite spread or butter/jam. Either sweet or savory, everyone at home love  to grab a slice of those homemade breads once they comes out of the oven. Sometimes, even before i click pictures, my kids finish the bread as they couldnt resist to the aroma of freshly baked breads. A life of a blogger is not that much easy. Obviously a blogger need to pre-plan everything and to google or check their cookbook collection to bring some delicious dishes  virtually to their readers.But still blogging is a real passion for me after cooking,baking,crocheting and knitting.
