Simple to make this healthy and sugarless buns asks for easy breezy kneading and preparation. Easy to make this buns are excellent to enjoy either for your breakfast with any of your favourite spreads or else to enjoy for your snacks simply with butter along with a cup of tea or coffee. Quite a filling bun, this eggless version is definitely a keeper. You can dish out this excellent buns easily as the kneading and shaping part asks for simple preparation. Honey plays an important role in this bread, apart from it, this buns calls for usual ingredients. Since i want to bake this honey buns more healthy, i halved the bread flour with whole wheat flour. And this works awesome to enjoy with your nutella as well.

Yes am running this week's blogging marathon with Pull apart breads as this week's theme. As like most of the honey buns, this buns doesnt call for honey glazing. And this buns are sweetened with honey, obviously these cute spongy buns are mildly sweet to enjoy without any fuss. Not to forget these buns are completely egg free, obviously you doesnt need any excuse to give a try to this extremely addictive buns. If you want to make this simply honey buns more interesting, you can add chocolate chips, raisins or tutty fruity chunks etc to make this buns more catchy and colourful.
1+1/2cups Bread flour
1cup Whole wheat pastry flour
1tsp Instant yeast
1/2cup Luke Warm water
1tsp Salt
1/4cup Honey
1/4cup Melted butter
Milk (for brushing)
Sugar Pearls (as per need)
Take the whole wheat pastry flour,salt,bread flour,instant yeast in a bowl and mix everything well,slowly add the luke warm water,honey, melted butter and knead as a soft dough.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover the bowl with a towel and arrange in a warm place.
Let them sit for an hour until they double the volume.
After an hour, punch down the doubled dough and knead again, make 6-8 medium sized balls from the dough and arrange one by one in a greased round mould and let them sit again for an hour in a warm place..
Preheat the oven to 350F,brush the buns with milk, sprinkle some sugar pearls and bake in middle rack for 20-25 minutes until the crust turns brown.
Put off the oven and let them cool completely..

It is nice that they are made with wholewheat flour. The addition of pearl sugar gives them a nice touch.
