Boursin is a brand of popular cream cheese which is easily available in France. We are ardent fan of their garlic and herbed cream cheese and this cheese have its own place in our fridge. This garlic flavoured herbed cream cheese makes an excellent spread to enjoy with grilled bread slices or else to stuff in home made yeasted buns. I have been looking for a chance to give a try to this boursin stuffed cheese buns, finally i baked some for this week's blogging marathon. Yes i picked 'Triple the dose' as theme for this week's blogging marathon, obviously my today's post is loaded with cheese. As per the theme,i prepared the dough with ricotta cheese, stuffed with boursin cheese which is topped with some parmesan cheese.
This triple cheese buns are seriously very addictive, you just cant stop with one bun. This boursin stuffed cheese buns makes an excellent accompaniment to serve along with your bowl of soup or else for your evening snacks to enjoy thoroughly without any spread. Since i have added ricotta cheese in the dough, this yeasted dough came out extremely soft. No butter or oil is needed and this fabulous buns will definitely satisfy everyone's tastebuds.
2+1/2cups Bread flour
1/2tsp Salt
1tsp Sugar
1tsp Instant yeast
1 Rosemary sprigs
1/2cup Lukewarm water
1/2cup Ricotta cheese
150grs Boursin (garlic & herb cheese)
Parmesan cheese (as per need)
Mix the flour, salt, sugar, instant yeast, ricotta cheese, chopped rosemary and luke warm water with stand mixer or with hands, till it becomes a rough dough.
Place the dough to flour dusted surface and knead by hands till the dough turns smooth. Cover the dough and let it rise till double the volume for 2 hours.
Punch the dough and divide them into 9 small balls and let it rest for 10 minutes. Cover the dough.
After the resting, roll the dough flat, stuff the flatten dough with a teaspoon of boursin cheese and reform them to ball shaped buns.
Arrange them in a square mould, let it rise again for half an hour. Sprinkle the top of the buns with parmesan cheese.
Bake them at 350F/180C for 20-25 minutes.
Cool the baked buns on wire rack.
