Kuzhi Paniyaram is one of the popular Chettinad dish which makes an excellent breakfast or snacks. Though savory paniyarams are very much popular sweet paniyaram aka sweet dumplings do exists. Kids just love this sweet paniyaram especially for their snack box, eventhough you can still prepare this dumplings and serve for their breakfast. Since this paniyaram is already sweet, you doesnt need to prepare any side dish.
I picked Kid's delight- Breakfast as theme for this week, am posting this crispy and sweet paniyaram to go prefect under this theme. You doesnt need any specific batter to dish out this cuties, if you have idly batter in your fridge, just add some jaggery syrup and cardamon powder. Pour this sweetened idly batter to the paniyaram mould, cook until they turns brown and crispy. These cuties are ready to eat and am sure kids will just love to munch for their breakfast. Make these cuties and make your kids happy.
3+1/2cups Idly batter
1cup Thick Jaggery syrup
1tsp Cardamom powder
Add the thick jaggery syrup, cardamom powder to the idly batter and mix well.
Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan in medium heat, pour few drops of oil.
Pour a small ladle of the batter, put the flame in simmer,cook slowly.
Turn on both sides until they get well cooked.
Dont cook in high flame...
Serve immediately.
