Apple Crumble

If your kids dont like apples, bake a cake or a crumble, am sure they will never ever says 'no' to apple. Apple is my favourite fruit, but since four years i couldnt eat them without cooking. Suddenly am allergic to my favourite fruit, unfortunately i couldnt enjoy the goodness of apple without cooking or baking them. I dont have any other option, obviously whenever i crave for apple, either i make apple sauce with them or else bake as a cake or crumble. Crumble with apples makes an excellent dessert after a heavy meal. My today's crumble goes for a buttery topping but you can still make the crumble with wholegrains like oats, quinoa flakes etc.

Apple crumble

Apple crumble is a quick, easy and a very simple dessert to bake, nothing complicate and even a kid can make crumble with an adult's help. Served warm with a icecream or cool with a dollop of cream, apple crumble will definitely satisfy everyone's tastebuds. Am running the first week of blogging marathon with fruits in any form as this week's theme. After an alluring mango muffins with mango puree, my today's post goes for apples, i used both golden and green apples in this crumble to bring a mild acidity as this buttery crumble topping.

Crumble aux pommes, apple crumble

4nos Apples
1/2tsp Lemon juice
2tbsp Sugar
1/4tsp Cinnamon powder

For crumble:
1/2cup All purpose flour
3tbsp Almond powder
2tbsp Sugar
4tbsp Butter(room temperature)

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Slice the peeled apples, add the lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon powder, mix well.

Transfer the apple to a baking pan.

Meanwhile take the flour in a bowl add the butter and turn as breadcrumbs like mixture with your fingers.

Finally add the remaining sugar and almond powder, give a mix.

Spoon the crumble over the apples and press them lightly.

Bake the crumble in middle rack for 30minutes until the crumble turns golden brown..

Enjoy with ice cream or chilled.

Such an yummy looking apple crumble. Suddenly getting allergic to your favorite fruit is just sad, but glad that you can at least eat them cooked.
