Triple Nuts Vermicelli Kheer/Nuts & Vermicelli Kheer

If you are looking for a super nutty, delicious vermicelli kheer, then this post will definitely tempts you to give a try. Am posting this luscious kheer for this week's blogging marathon as i picked 'Triple the dose' as theme. This kheer calls for three nuts and this combination of these three nuts works awesome for making this fabulous vermicelli kheer. Though this kheer calls for simple preparation, the final result was an excellent,super delicious and delightful vermicelli kheer. Instead of soaking the nuts, i went with microwaving the nuts with enough water to peel easily their skins.

Nutty Vermicelli Kheer, Triple nuts vermicelli kheer

This triple nuts kheer can be enjoyed both chilled or warm, an excellent dessert to serve your sudden guests or to make as a special sweet for festival days. However i prepared this kheer few days back since i had some sudden guest at home. They simply enjoyed this kheer when they were warm and they loved it. If you want to make a different kheer just prepare this delicious kheer with a combination of three nuts.

Nuts & Vermicelli Kheer

1/2cup Vermicelli
10nos Almonds
10nos Cashewnuts
10nos Pistachios
1/4cup Chironji/Saara paruppu
4cups Milk
1/2cup Sugar
1/4tsp Saffron strands
1/2tsp Cardamom powder
1tbsp Ghee

Take the almonds,cashewnuts,pistachios, chironji with enough water in a microwave safe bowl,cook for a minute in high power and keep aside.

Peel the skin of nuts and chironji seeds. Grind the nuts with enough milk as a smooth paste.

Heat the ghee, fry the vermicelli in simmer for few minutes.

Triple nuts vermicelli Kheer

Meanwhile heat the milk in a vessel with saffron strands for few minutes. Now add the fried vermicelli and cook until the vermicelli gets half cooked.

Add the nut paste, sugar, cardamom powder and cook in simmer until the vermicelli gets cooked.

Serve warm or chilled.
