Tha potato and pea curry with besan sounds really delicious . Besan always gives a nice flavour to any curry besides acting as a thickening agent . My mom normally used a tsp if wheat flour , but besan is a great idea .

I also use wheat flour as a thickener, but I think gram flour will be better suited for poori sabzi. It will bring its own flavor also to the curry.

Bowl of aloo matar besan curry is tempting. I too add some besan to potato curry when making for poori but in my curry, potatoes are mushy.

I love aloo matar in all forms and can just enjoy them as is or with some garma garam roti's. The curry sure looks tempting.

I sometimes add besan to thicken up the curry sauces but never used it as a main ingredient. Such a nice and tasty curry to pair with roti.

I love aloo matar but never tried adding besan to it. The next time I prepare, I shall use it. Lovely share.

This is making me so nostalgic. Even mom used to make this. And there was one more without the potatoes and peas and with loads of knions which was fantastic with dosas. Yum.

I make a besan chutney (subzi) called the Bombay chutney and this is even better than that as it has potatoes and peas. Lovely recipe and this is my comfort food!
