Corn Channadal Fingers

Usually deep fried fingers are made with chicken or fish, actually i want to replicate them in my own way but as a vegetarian version. Both fish fingers and chicken fingers are my kids favourite, they just love it, since i want to make those non vegetarian deep fried fingers as a vegan fingers i tried my hands in making this super crispy dal and corn fingers. Cooked channadal, mashed potatoes and grounded sweet corn kernels makes this wonderful looking deep fried fingers. Trust me, my kids just enjoyed having this crispy vegan fingers with their favourite ketchup.

You can make these wonderful looking fingers with your usual vada batter too, while mine went for cooked channadal, mashed potatoes and grounded sweet corn kernels, spiced with green chillies, onions and chopped coriander leaves, these crispy fritters makes a fabulous starter or snack. This finger food are dangerously addictive and its really hard to stop just with one. These fingers goes to this week's blogging marathon under the theme Pick one ingredient as i picked corn as my ingredient under the list given by Srivalli and to this week's Friendship 5 Series, an event by Geetha and Savitha as theme for this month is Fast foods for kids.  Check out the Blogging Marathon page for the other Blogging Marathoners doing BM#42.
