Chinese Steamed Savoury Eggs

Obviously this week's posts are going to be some healthy, quick and delicious steamed dishes. And am kick starting this week's theme with this easy breezy steamed eggs. Flavored with soya sauce, sesame oil,and herbs or spring onions, this savoury egg custard is definitely a must to try if you are looking for an easy egg dish.

Chinese Steamed Eggs

With just eggs, salt, soya sauce and sesame oil, one can make this steamed eggs easily. Enjoyed warm, this steamed eggs is a prefect breakfast style eggs to indulge without any fuss as well. Kids enjoyed this steamed eggs with grilled bread slices and everyone enjoyed thoroughly for their sunday's brunch. Yes this Chinese steamed eggs are just prefect to prepare your sunday brunch with less efforts.You can even flavor this savoury egg with garlic chives or with chinese chilly sauce. If you are an egg lover, dont forget to dish out this incredible dish.

Steamed Eggs, Chinese Steamed Eggs

2 Eggs
1cup Water
Salt as per need
1tbsp Soya sauce
2tsp Sesame oil
Dry herbs or chopped spring onions

Break the eggs and take everything in a bowl.

Whisk the eggs well, add the water and salt, whisk everything well.

Filter this mixture and transfer the mixture to two or three ramekins.

Meanwhile heat a steamer, wrap the ramekins with a cling wrap.

Steamed Chinese Eggs

Place the ramekins on a steamer and steam cook for 10-15minutes.

Let this steamed eggs rest for 5 minutes.

Top it with soya sauce, followed by sesame oil.

Garnish with dry herbs or chopped spring onions.

Enjoy warm.

interesting seasoning!! Simple soya sauce gives so much flavor to the dishes we add, isn't it? A good one for this theme .

I loved the simpler version I made last week. This one with all the addition sound so full of flavour. And I am just amazed at the custard like texture we get by steaming eggs.

Never heard this version Priya. Adding Soy Sauce and sesame oil is totally new.

wow, soya sauce addition in egg sounds interesting but I love the outcome. Really making a perfectly healthy and nutritious breakfast. never tried making any egg recipe other then omellete, boiled, frittata and bhurji.
