Paneer Stuffed Wholewheat Kulchas

Naans and Kulchas are like sisters, naans goes for yeast while kulchas goes for baking soda and baking powder in some preparations or else simply with baking powder. Naans or else kulchas with a paneer masala makes a prefect pair and whoever love to have a satisfying meal can enjoy this beautiful dish. Usually all purpose flour or maida is used for making both naans and kulchas but if you are planning to make naans or kulchas at home do give a try to this wholewheat version. I love to make kulchas than naans as kulchas are very easy to make when compared to naans as naans tends to get rised for a couple of hours as they have yeast in it. Kulchas gets ready quickly than naans.

Stuffed kulchas suits prefectly for a lunch or dinner also you doesnt need any side dish to have with it. You can easily pack this stuffed kulchas for anyone's lunch box. Just be creative and make any stuffing to for stuffed ones. I went for a quick and easy breezy stuffing with scrambled paneer.I didnt cooked the stuffing and went for a quick paneer masala with usual spices , no chopping no vegetables. But still if you want to add vegetables, you can go for cooked and mashed potatoes or else simply with grated vegetables.Paneer stuffed kulchas makes an excellent filling lunch, just pack in kid's lunch box and am sure they will definitely love it.

2cups Wholewheat flour
1/4cup Milk
1/4cup Yogurt
1tsp Baking powder
1/2tsp Baking soda
Salt
2tbsp Oil

For paneer masala:
1+1/2cups Scrambled paneer
1tsp Red chilly powder
1tsp Garam masala powder
2tsp Coriander leaves (chopped)
1/4tsp Chaat masala
Salt

Add the red chilly powder, chaat masala and garam masala to the scrambled paneer.

Finally add the coriander leaves, salt, mix everything well.

Make 6-8 medium sized balls of this masala.

Meanwhile make the dough for kulchas, combine all the ingredients except the oil, make a smooth and soft dough, keep aside for an hour.

Knead again the dough and make 6-8medium sized balls, flatten the ball with a rolling pin.

Gently place the already prepared stuffing as per need, seal the edges and roll again as flat disc.

Heat a tawa, gently place the kulchas, drizzle the oil and cook on both sides until they golden brown.

Enjoy warm.
